needs long slings and clear head

Fun route. Rain rolled in at the upper slab section.

Finally got around to leading this one, it's as great as I remembered. A true Sunset classic.

A 2ft. runner on the pro beneath the 2nd roof was not long enough. Ended up with wicked rope drag for the rest of the climb. Glad we used Denmark's 70m rope for the climb. A 60m would have been cutting it close!

A lot less in your face than some of the other 5.9's in Sunset, make sure to use long slings and protect accordingly when pulling the roof to the right side. Also, care should be taken when mantling above your pro in the last 20ft of the climb.

This is a truly great route, well deserving of the three-star rating. Easily my favorite climb so far at Sunset. A long sustained climb; the variety of different challenges over its full length makes it like several climbs in one. The third roof is the tricky one. One tip: don't wait til the afternoon sun makes this route a broiler like we did! Hats off to Denmark for his onsight lead.
