Ascent Notes for: Space Cowboy - 5.8 Average Rating : 3.80/5

Had fun on Space Cowboy yesterday, in the sun above the valley fog. We added rappel chains that are accessible from both Space Cowboy and Rocket Man. Clean a little loose rock from the bottom of the route. Bolt placement felt fine, so didn't choose to add any.

Fun climb with some unusual friction moves at the top. I had no problems with bottom 10 feet since it is easy 5.7 and holds are solid. I'm still waiting for nOOb to put his money where his mouth is and put chains on top, but until then I'll carry inch webbing to leave on top any of the older routes and be happy I didn't pay for all the first accent bolts that are there.

Good route after the first 10 feet of dirt, moss, and choss.

Lame anchors that cause ALOT of drag or require you to leave slings beind or trust rotting ones the last party left.

basically the same for the whole formation. Poor insight by the bolters to leave regular hangers at the top with no chains.

Even though upper road had a foot of snow, this aspect of fantasy island was warm and dry.
