Ascent Notes for: Regular south face - 5.6 Average Rating : 4.86/5

Route B start. Did the chimney. Lead 1st and 3rd pitches. 5th pitch leader did the 5.9 crack. Couldn't follow so traversed out to the knobby bulge then back to the crack to retrieve the protection. Almost couldn't get the last cam out. Didn't go to the top so as to avoid the down climb. Freaked out on the unprotected class 4 descent. Thank goodness for the rappel tree!

Bailed at the chimney ledge.

Fun Lead!

Crazy fun route, Many variations with good exposure. Lots of climbers with great views and plenty of room until the top. Great set up for Eichorns Pinnacle. A cool 5.8 variation on the right side of pitch 2 (look for a small udercling, in a up and lateral crack).

to make it a little more challenging...rack = set of nuts, six cams, five slings
