I don't think it gets any better than this. A super fun crack that angles left and then up. In addition to tough moves, we had 40mph winds continuously whipping us around.
A good challenge and a great way to end the day.

We traversed over from Loose Ends. The 3 Pitch is definitely the best. Starts off as a hand crack and goes to fingers. Good protection. Traversing under the roof will get your heart pumping!
I lead P4

A fun start to the day. The finger crack looks a lot smaller than it actually is.

We had a terrific time. We had never done the hike in before, so it took us 3.5 hours. Found some good beta from ShawnB, so I'm going to repeat it here for others that have never done it: The first pond you get to above the waterfalls is NOT Sky Pond, so don't waste your time looking around. Continue to the right of it and you will round a bend and Petit will immediately come into view to your right.
We had a 60m rope and combined P1&2, 3&4 and 5&6. They were rope stretchers but worth it. Exposure comes into play starting in P6 and continues till the summit. Super, super fun. We rapped down--the top 3 are rope eaters so be careful. Always look for the next set of rap rings down and climbers left.
2.5 hours for the hike out.
An unbelievable day--and we lucked out by having perfect weather--not a cloud in the sky from sun-up to sun-down. And only two other parties on the Petit. A perfect first Alpine experience!

Nice 5.8 finger to hand crack. The roof kept us dry in the rain.

Fun. tough part for me was the start, but it was a cruise from there. Left side in for the roof.

The roof on P2 is stiff for the 5.7 rating but protects well.

Good lead for someone just getting into trad. At the top of P1 there are two cracks--follow the one that shoots straight up (5.8variation) for some stemming and a super fun crux move. Popular on the weekends.
