5 out of 5 stars Onsight Crux Pitch

Climbed with Justin - met him at Elizabeth Riely's party while staying at her place in Boulder. Great climb. Fun and easily protected. I would love to go back and lead the first long pitch of 5.7 - Justin lead first pitch, I seconded and onsighted the crux pitch. Easy traverse to base of ZigZag crack but think about protecting sooner to try and protect your second from a nasty fall - hard to do?

5 out of 5 stars Onsight

This was a spicy 5.8 but really good climbing. Spicy because it is a bit overhanging and can be scary at one section where you probably wouldn't get hurt if you fell but you feel like it would be a small whipper if you did. I climbed it clean. At that scary section there is a bolt off rout to the left that I wanted to clip but my belayer said it was not part of the rout, this is where I was having to focus more and just commit the next overhanging moves to reach my next bolt. Super fun climb! Certainly a crowd pleaser!

This was an interesting rout. I made it easier than a 10a by climbing the left facing dihedral 5.8 and where the upper crux is on the face above by the 5th bolt, I found it to thin and bare of any holds so I went right into an easy crack to finish. I wouldn't call this a 10a the way I climbed it so I would like to go back and climb it with some harder variations. I would say I climbed a 5.9+ the way I went.

4 out of 5 stars Flash

This was a fun lead with some spicy moves for the grade. Michal Opolski lead it first and then I flashed it after belaying his lead. I did the climb clean

Im not sure if we climbed this one or the other 5.6 called Black Friday. Either way the notes on rock climbing.com say that on Second Balcony Jump it is really 30 meters and not to be fooled by the rap station 1/3 way up the climb. I may need to go back and send this one over to be sure I did the full route and also to be sure it was the correct route and not Black Friday.

5 out of 5 stars Onsight

This was a really fun climb, I was with Fraser Pike that day and we first climbed up via Old Style 2P which was absolutley fabulouse and must do again and again. Supposedly closed with something to do with bc rail but its worth breaking the rules to do anyways. Bring a lot of gear for High Mountain Woody and some larger pieces as well. I counted 3 fist Jams on the route. Loved it. Great views and sunsets.

Climbed with Dave Beal whom I had not seen in 7 years. I taught him how to belay for a lead climber and went over some safety drills before I lead the climb. It was spicy in the crux which got really verticle from a good ledge/stance. Somewhat inverted even. Good right hand jams and left arete features to place left hand and food. Solid but comitting. Super fun climb the whole way up. Prety sustained and well worth doing again. Book rated this as a 2 star and I certainly give it at least 4 stars!

4 out of 5 stars Seconded

Bryan is a machine leading this route. Rated 5.10c I may have felt comfortable leading the first P of 10b but the rest was really hard and technical and to lead would have been really gut wrenching! It will be a while before I lead it for sure. In addition the last pitch is really run out after the last fat bolt. traverse left and then up some spicy slab moves to reach the anchor atop. I really don't like falling in a spot like that and I feel it should be protected with at least one more bolt! Well worth climbing if you can lead the grade.

4 out of 5 stars Red Point

This climb looked harder than it was. Bryan led first and then I asked him about it and he gave me the reasuring beta that gave me the confidence to lead the climb. He had said it was easier than Mushroom crack and that the roof protected really well as well. I led this climb cleanly and found it sooo much fun!

Mushroom Crack was a splendid rout and pretty sustained. Very worth coming out to do! A must do again and again!
