Aaaaahhhhhhh. . .

Had to bail at the end of p.4. Started late and took to long. decided to bail before it got dark and cold.

Note: you can rap the entire route w/ a 70m rope.

Great route waited 4 years to climb this thing!!

Onsight pitches 1 thru 3. Fell 2X on P4 once in the dihedral and once getting into the chimney. Also fell 2x on P5 once on the bouldery move off the belay and once trying to figure out the start of the hand crack.

Ascent Note

Good route, short but, sweet. There isn't much pro on this route. I think I got a orange TCU in just off the ground (wouldn't have been good for much) then it's a smooth fifteen twenty ft to the next peice which was a bomber nut placement followed immediately by another. Some more climbing get you to a #1 camalot placement then, traverse left to the 2 bolt anchor.

Ascent Note

The coolest thing about this route is that you traverse out left and up from the ground, which goes downhill to the left so feel the exposure rather quickly. Reacomended.

Bailed on the first attempt I didn't like the first pitch AT ALL. I came back and did a 5.8 variation to the right of the first pitch and then sent the route. The rest of the route is great.

The first ime up I did it in two pitches. went back another day and fired the entire route in one long pitch with a 60m, a little bit of drag but not terrible.

Onsighted the first pitch then TRd Iron Horse to the right.
This is an excellent pitch. bomber gear but it forces you to commit to above your pro. Good route for the aspiring 5.9 leader
