4 out of 5 stars Ascent Note

Need balls or big gear to protect the top of the 5.3 crack system. The 5.5 side seems easier?

4 out of 5 stars Ascent Note

Maybe it's lack of chimney experience--maybe it's nerves--but I found this climb harder than it looks.

Watch for a loose block to the right of the first body-sized opening to the chimney.

4 out of 5 stars Great for those new to trad

Great exposure and experience for a trad newb like me. The climbing notes suggest climbing the cracks up and to the left--this should be climb the cracks/flakes up and right to the belay ledge, no?

Also, it could well have just been the nerves, but isn't the "open book" crack on the second pitch a little stiff for 5.5? Great second sketchy limestone lead!

Watch out for a lose block as you come around underneath the roof on the second pitch (i.e. right before the open book).
