better than expected!
I guess I followed the line, at least according to Dave's description . . . look forward to doing it again, actually, and sticking to the wide crack above the start. The other way felt like a cop-out onto South Pacific . . . coming back for the offwidth!

wasn't quite wasted enough
belayed/followed berkly's redpoint, and this is a notable one. bolt at your feet for the steep crux - which took me several tries - then another LONG stretch of thin slab to the chains.

I have been coveting this one since the gathering, and it was every bit as sweet as I imagined it. Very nice, protects well, sweet jams, nothing else just like it at Quartz.

This one was a bit more than I expected, at the end of a hot day - looking for a splitter with a breath of cool air coming out of it, I found a bit of a rough one with some serious offwidth in the middle. I got tunnel-vision up in the wide section, and down-climbed to hang while I scouted gear/other moves - and just to gather strength. This was after wearing myself out on "bombs away" at 40 ft. hole, and by this time the "Ice Box" was in the sun!
Look forward to cracking it with fresh limbs, earlier in the day! Will be a nice morning climb, some time.
