Ascent Note
This climb has an “alpine” feel to it. It meanders a bit and covers varied terrain. It seems to have a little bit of everything; face, crack, corners, blocks, traverses, and a small roof. I was not able to protect the traverse while under clinging the arch. Not sure how to do that.

Great climb. I was a little uncomfortable on the traverse to the second tree, but the friction is good enough to get you across. The second pitch is a beautiful 5.6 crack on really clean, solid granite; a really fun climb. (led first pitch only)

Linked first two pitches with 60m rope, finished just below the traverse to Traitor Horn. Comfortable climbing with good pro. Ken led Traitor Horn.

Ascent Note
Nothing too complicated about this climb. However, the crack is a little wide for my taste. I got my foot stuck up to my ankle a couple of times near the top. You need big gear, several BD #3 cams. Bolted anchor at top, no rap rings.

This is a good climb with solid stances for placing gear. Going around the bulge at the top puts your feet out to the right on the face where the traction is fairly good. You could also go straight up the crack which has narrow hand/finger jams.

Good easy crack in somewhat of a left facing corner. Protection is solid with good anchoring at the top.

Ascent Note
This was a nice crack climb. It is short and the protection is good. You need a big piece of gear if you want to protect the top where the crack widens. The anchor is probably best set over the top of the climb in a crack system in the back wall. In the J-Tree 5.6 range it is a fairly easy climb.

Led only first pitch. This is a fun, easy, climb, right up until you get to the top. My partner and I were not able to do it without a little aiding. I'm not sure where the start of this route is, but I would try to avoid the traverse.

Ascent Note
This is a fun climb. The 5.8 start is probably safer if you can reach up and place a piece of gear. I didn’t really think of this as an off-width/chimney climb. You can climb up the crack most of the way, but you do use off-width/chimney technique in some places. For me the problem was at the top of the crack on the second pitch. Here, the crack becomes off-width and I consider the move to be the crux. To protect it you need a big piece of gear (3.5-4 BD). If you don’t have that you just need to go for it and it is a little run-out.

Ascent Note
This isn't much of a climb, a short section of crack on the bottom and another at the top with a long gully in between. I did the start of the 10a on the left (not too difficult but harder than the start for Mad Race).
