5 out of 5 stars Long, Fun and Tough

Great climb...one of the tougher 5.9s I've ever climbed - mostly because all the hard moves are at the top. First half of the climb is 5.7/5.8; once you get to the first roof it clearly ramps up a bit, especially on lead.

I was exhausted after this one!

4 out of 5 stars Pumpy

Used this as our first route of the day with no warmup...for some reason I was fairly pumped at the end (more arms than feet on this one). One or two tricky moves near the 3d bolt, but nothing too bad. Would like to go back and see if I could use the feet a little better.

Everyone in the group climbed this one with ease. Great warmup route.

5 out of 5 stars Pull the Roof!

I didn't even think to Jump Start this climb...duh. We chose to boulder up through the roof and it's a lot more fun. GREAT handholds with an easy weight shift move to get over the roof. Everyone in the group loved this fun/easy climb.

No way this is a 5.9 unless you take the variation to the left.

3 out of 5 stars Short and Easy

This is a nice short route with an easy roof about 10 feet off the ground. I really didn't like the bolt placement on this one - it leaves you very exposed to a nasty swing if you fall before you pull the roof.

Once you get around the arete, look for a small toe hold for the left foot just below a large crack. Trust the toe, shift your weight left and stand. That's basically the crux move for this route.

Fun for TR, but wouldn't recommend this one for someone's first lead (the fall around the arete before the second bolt gets ugly).

4 out of 5 stars Great Mix of Fun/Hard

Bottom half was quite easy...5.7/8 ish. Get up nice and high under the roof before you pull it as the hands are small and a good reach past the roof (I placed a small link cam in the horizontal crack as it's about 4 feet over the last bolt).

Above the roof it gets pretty thin and I'd rate it a solid 5.9 to the anchors. Look for small toe holds and wide hands.

Overall great climb...easy and tough in different parts and long enough to make for a great ride!

4 out of 5 stars Fun Roof

This is a nice, easy climb with a little bit of a tricky crux at the roof. Get high up under the roof, grab the shelf with your right hand, heel hook with your left foot and reach with your left hand out to the vertical crack to pull your body over your left foot.

Two shorter climbers I had with me had a bit of trouble, but was pretty easy for me.

The climb after the roof is just a scramble and not really worth much.

4 out of 5 stars Fun Route

Scramble start to a ledge, traverse, then a couple of tricky moves to get up to the third bolt. Get your right foot out and high to reach the third bolt.

Solid 5.6. Good views from the top.

5 out of 5 stars Sweet Climb!

We had a blast on this route during the New River Rendezvous. Plenty of bolts (though I threw in a small cam below the first one as it was a bit high). Plenty of handholds, good footwork, a short layback and one crux just above the fourth bolt. Nice and cool location with plenty of shade, and the rock was still dry even though it poured down rain the night before.

5 out of 5 stars Only a 5.7?

So, we did this route this weekend, and it seemed much more challenging than a 5.7. We started directly below a nub that was about 17 feet off the ground and found the handholds pretty tricky once you got about 9' up. Almost had to dyno to the huge nub that was just out of reach....were we missing something?

(to refine, we were just below the single bolt/tree above us)
