4 out of 5 stars Led

First moves are tough. Had a bad rappel epic on it in October 2005. Pitch 1 and 4 are great. Other pitches, necessary. Careful rappelling the route. If you have a single rope, it won't get you to the big ledge from the first bolted rappel anchor.

4 out of 5 stars Led

Awkward moves at the block, but good protection right before. Careful not to fall at the start.

A little creepy at the start. Cool crack and ramp near the top.

Awesome climb, calls for a lot of use of facial features around the crack.

5 out of 5 stars Toprope Soloed

Full of dirt and unrelenting. Best crack of its grade in CT, at least of what I've climbed.

5 out of 5 stars Led

Should be on every trad climber's top 10 list. Every pitch (maybe with the exception of 2 and 4) offers a distinct set of challenges and unique features. The triangle roof is very hard for 5.8. The move out of the cave on pitch 7 is really intimidating but you can get a small nut up in the horizontal crack high on the outside wall of the cave. Did pitch 8 in the rain and it was scary. The descent is tricky. Find the Helipad. If you are looking out from the cliff across the highway, follow the trail that stems from the front right corner. There is a trail to the left that leads to nothing.

5 out of 5 stars Led

First pitch is intimidating. It's easier to climb on the face when you get to the upper part of the dihedral. Really fun climbing with very strange rock. The mantle is not scary.

Great climb, worth going to New Diversions cliff just for this one. Reaching the arete is easier if you are tall. Nerves of steel necessary to pull it off casually.

4 out of 5 stars Led (5.9 AO)

Great climb but I've not sure if it's worth the descent. I'd be surprised if many people do it twice. Yarding on the bolts is harder than expected, haha.

You have to have a really steady hand to lead this one. The rappel route for "The Grack, Center" run directly over "Marginal." You can check it out to make sure you're comfortable with it. Even a little scary to follow.
