Ascent Note
5/5/03 - Flash. Great route once you get past the start, which is tricky and kind of wierd. Probably harder than 5.6 to the first bolt. The arete above is excellent.

Ascent Note
5/4/03 - Flash. Victor led pitch 1 to the good ledge with two bolts, then I led 2-3 in one pitch (the Beast Flake and the section where you regain the top of the chimney and do some 5.9 offwidth), and Victor led the last pitch. Cruxes for me were re-entering the chimney after the Beast Flake, which is devious, and a section of laybacking on the last pitch, even though I was on TR. It's not an onsight because I had a guy at the last belay watching me do the moves back into the chimney and he gave me the beta, for which I'm very happy.

5/3/03 - Onsight. Good route because the cliff is beautiful, and there's an easy walk off. Not memorable climbing, although there are some nice sections.

Ascent Note
5/3/03 - Onsight. Great crack climbing and laybacking at the beginning. Felt harder than 5.6 because the finger crack was wet, but the crux moves are right off the ground anyway.

Ascent Note
5/3/03 - Onsight. I really loved this one. The finger crack at the beginning was strenuous to protect - I placed one piece from the ground and another from a great jam, but ended up pretty high up before I got another one in. Luckily, you're past the crux when you start looking at a ground fall. The 5.9 move(s) near the top were pretty easy for me, and well protected.

4/30/03 - Onsight. Along with Easy Terms, my favorite route at this section of the crag. Fun slab climbing to a cool mantle at the end.

3/7/03 - TR Hangdog. 4/29/03 - Redpoint attempt (fell at dyno), Redpoint, Repeat attempt (fell at mantle). I was pumped to get this on my second try of the day. Definitely a nice route. I tried to repeat it after I sent, but fell at the mantle. Guess I don't have it wired!

Ascent Note
5/28/02 - TR Hangdog. 4/29/03 - Redpoint. Awesome, long route! Trad gear is not needed if you're comfortable running out the 5.5 section (20 feet) to the first bolt. The crux for me was right off the bat after the first bolt. At the top, stay left of the last two bolts to keep it at the grade. Really neat, because the holds weren't all chalked up. I guess the "trad gear needed" keeps most people off this amazing climb.

4/29/03 - Redpoint. Did the sit-down problem next to the stone wall. First try with rock shoes on, but I fooled around on it in my tennies for a bit at first.

4/29/03 - Flash. Used the boulders to start. Pretty high, but the crux is at the bottom. Great jamming the whole way up!
