4 out of 5 stars Caution....this is not the 8

Late in the day, an easy trad 8 to finish off the day was the idea...this route is the 11, the 8 is the NEXT dihedral! First half is sketchy with decent protection, second half above the first cracky crux is really headsy, exposed and pumpy....ugh! Two important foot chips have broken off.

pro: normal red river rack. couple of .5s or no. 1 link cams.

4 out of 5 stars Fun

A great long reach super fun for shorter people: work it out differently than the tall folk. In the middle of the best wall in HCR.

4 out of 5 stars I think it's really an a

Long and 10ish, I think people have rated it a 10b since the crux comes after a stiffish pull more than half way up and because it's long and sustained. Tons of fun, don't leave you're technique at home.

3 out of 5 stars Another start for the tall people...

3 out of 5 stars short but good

Build a trad anchor at the top with a left trail for the rope to avoid the narrow crack at the top. Top rope your non trad friends from this so they can join in the fun. Great easy "let's learn some trad" route. Anchor the top with 2 #2 link cams and a .5 BD or a #1 link cam.

4 out of 5 stars puppet master

good lower 2/3rds with a boulderish start is a 9. Upper third is eightish. Four really nice areas take a variety of protection. 4 link cams/4 .5's to 1 cams or 5 hexes or nuts of various sizes.

4 out of 5 stars Ascent Note

Sweet! Variety of gear placement options with a small commitment crux (particularly for shorter people) midway. A great route for the beginning trad leader. (Just enough sketch to remind you that trad is not sport!). Super fun. The classic midwestern trad crack.

3 out of 5 stars two ways to fun

C direct, straight up the obvious dihedral provides a little more exposure than the crack start to the left, but that provides a little traverse time, and for some may be the easier way to go.
