3 out of 5 stars A worthwhile climb for a day at French's

A giant chunk came out within the last few months. It proceeded to roll down the hill, smashing through bushes and ricocheting off trees until it was out of earshot. Kinda scary.

4 out of 5 stars Fantastic Novice Lead

This is a great route. It's actually called Tin Tangle. It's the route to the right of the blocky rib. Roughly 60' long, clean rock the whole way, not too much rope drag for top-ropers. Although a little bit run-out through the middle, the solid rock will make you feel more comfortable.

4 out of 5 stars Good climb

Went up on one of the first nice days of the spring and had the place all to ourselves. There are a lot of ways to ascend, and there's a more difficult bolted variation that goes under the overhang to the left. Lots of crimps and small toe pockets, with the crux coming on a difficult side-pull up to the flake. It's a bit run-out leading up to the anchor, but this section is probably a 5.6-5.7. Good rock, good bolts, good moves, beautiful scenery... and you can cool down on the any of the many surrounding boulders.
