Climbed the first two pitches and finished on the third pitch of Shockley's Ceiling. Loved the overhanging part. Backed off once after surveying for pro, then moved quickly through and up to the tree.

Great route, meriting three stars in my book. First pitch was a nice warm up. Second pitch crux was intimidating - I backed off once after surveying my protection options, then gathered my courage and moved quickly through the overhang. After the crux, a guide, who was taking a party up Shockley's, asked me how it was.... "Exhilarating," I replied. Finished on the third pitch of Shockley's, which is always a thrill. (John is the perfect, patient partner).

Climbed first two pitches of Strictly, and third pitch of Shockley's. I had put off leading this route for so long, since my first two times on it (being guided up, in my early days) were such ordeals. Turns out, there was nothin' to it! This route had intimidated me for too long. Thanks again to John for taking the day off and helping me get this monkey off my back!

An enjoyable route, but I have yet to climb it when the rock was dry. After topping out and building my anchor, I looked up to see, approaching me through the late afternoon shadows and eerie howling wind, a thin, old man with unkempt long white hair, wire-rimmed glasses and disheveled clothing, who asked "Where am I...?"

Got here early on a beautiful spring day and watched the line form as I worked my way up the first two pitches. I didn't think the traverse on the second pitch protected very well. Perhaps I traversed a bit too high. Lots of rope drag made for an interesting anchor and belay re-direct at the ledge. Third pitch was my favorite. Worth the trip.

Erin's first time on real rock. She gave a great effort on the overhang, especially considering her discomfort at height. A bystander commented that the overhang gets most beginners.

First pitch only - looks like an interesting route. Erin was having a problem with an ingrown toenail, so we decided to back off after the first pitch. I'll be back for this one.
