Fantastic route. One of my favorites at Seneca. Did it twice last summer. I don't think the 1st pitch is that bad. What's all the fuss about? Just run it out...or take the big stuff. Not that big a deal.

Finally Got It

Been out to this spot 5 or 6 times in the last couple years and I finally put it all together without any falls or hang dogging. The last move kept getting me. Finally got the beta from my buddy and it went down no probs. Fantastic route. I was VERY happy to get it!

I cleaned Mark Nord's lead. 1 long pitch to the top. What a great route! I'm a good ways from leading anything like that.

Fun Climb

Fun climb. A bit streuous at the crux. Easy to protect. I used a 3.5 BD cam and a #10 hex for the crux. It's a fun way to stretch out a 5th pitch to get to the summit ledge.

Jam

I came back and led the whole thing in 1 pitch. My right foot slipped at the crux fist jam and I took my first lead fall onto the pin right there. Went back up and finished the climb without any probs. Some strenuous moves on the 1st pitch, since I am a terrible crack climber...

Got this route dialed after a month or so of random attempts. Great fun! Couple different starts. One of my favorite Great Falls routes. On really hot days I tend to fall off even though I've got it wired. Not easy for sure. The fall or late spring is the best time for this route.
