3 out of 5 stars Nice intro to slab

First slab lead. Fun. Felt much different from climbing limestone. Granite seems more bare. But, once on it, wasn't bad at all. Plenty of features for hands and feet, albeit smaller irregularities. Trust feet, rubber sticks well.

4 out of 5 stars Nice n' easy

Followed a trad leader for the first time. Was a nice easy fist /hand jamming excercise. Beautiful crack, cool looking and feeling (out of the sun.) Nice view from top of the domes.

*Set up a rope signal system if your leader plans to head all the way up to the tree to anchor off of. You won't be able to see them and will have a hard time hearing their yells, and vice versa.

4 out of 5 stars Awesome beginner crack, nice laybacks

Offers decent stances and lots of opportunities to place pro ;)

Place a nice solid cam down low and then it's pretty golden once over the first lip. Towards the top, can veer way left to gain anchors.

My first trad lead! Sweet!!!

4 out of 5 stars Pumpy traverse

The traverse is really fun, try to save some energy for the up-route move (I'll remember that next time ;)

3 out of 5 stars Emerging from the dark pit...

This is a pretty fun route. You start out on slightly mossy holds in the pit, and as you come out, the rock gets much better. Nice moves at the top and cool looking down into the pit!

4 out of 5 stars Almost had my first onsight 11!

Pumpy to mid-point, then you're golden. I pumped out after doing the crux, though. I'll get it next time, John!

I would probably say, though, it was an easier 11a.. probably would be in the half that says it's a 10d.

3 out of 5 stars Nice 5.9b (Get it?)

The bees look cool coming out their little cave. Kind of reminds me of ships coming out of the Death Star.

Anyways, they don't bother you. One or two might be curious, but that's all.

NO FEAR. They smell it.
