3 out of 5 stars Dirty Crack Climb

Fun little climb, except for all the dirt and grit.

5 out of 5 stars First Pitch Only

Great climb. Had to bail after the first pitch due to rain.

2 out of 5 stars Toprope

Toperoped it. Hard. I am sure it is missing holds, and I thought it was gonna be missing another one. One large flake is very loose and moved when I pulled on it. :-(

3 out of 5 stars Easy?

I had climbed this on toprope about a year ago, but I am clearly doing something wrong, there is no way I'd call this a 5.6 or 5.7. I'd say maybe 5.8. I stayed to the left of the bolts all the way up and avoided the arete, doing so made clipping the first 3 bolts easy, but getting to and clipping the 4th was kinda tricky, and from there to the shuts was definitely the hard part. The shuts being rusty wasn't nearly as troublesome as the fact that both are loose. Someone should definitely carry a wrench with them the next time they climb this one.

Also, I only clipped 4 bolts, so if there is a fifth, then I really did something wrong. :-)

5 out of 5 stars Cool Climb

My first climb at the Bald in 35 years and first ever on Cereal Buttress. Awesome climb but I have to admit that I was a bit sketched out for the first 30 feet or so, then I settled down and had fun. The first pitch alone is worth a trip to Rumbling Bald and the second wasn't half bad either. Can't wait to go back and climb it again and maybe jump on Granola and Frosted Flake too. BTW, it seemed kind of hard for a 5.7 but then again all 5.7s seem kind of hard to me. :-)

4 out of 5 stars Way harder and scarier than Block Route

This one freaked me out and I wasn't leading. What the heck, if this is 5.8 then the Block Route is 5.2. Anyway, I guess I'll try to sack up and lead it next time.

4 out of 5 stars Cool Climb

The temperature was in the 20s and the rock was still mostly in the shade. Finding places to stop and warm hands made the climb much more interesting. Fun climb but very painful.

5 out of 5 stars First Pitch Only

I must have left my scary, runout slab climbing hat at home because I just couldn't work up the courage for the second pitch. Pitch 1 was fun. Easy to protect with lots of places to rest. It also offers a much greater variety than the Arch.

3 out of 5 stars Nice Route

Fun. I started near the arete. Juggy but steep. (5.7+ or 5.8?)
