This was fun; definitely will climb it again. It should make a good warm-up/approach to the main wall. Had to high step and mantle a lot. Should be able to find better holds or jams to make this easier.

The first run was an challenging lead, the 2nd time up was fairly easy. The start is a little strange, particularly as a first climb of the day. Once you get going it is all good. The crux is a mantle move. NOTE: if you TR this you will probably want to have some directionals or you can pick up a big swing.

Nice route and a lot of fun. The first bolt is pretty far up but the climbing is easy. I did this as 2 pitches for the practice but it is only ~100 ft so it is an easy single pitch.

Onsight - Fun route and fun to protect. Nothing too difficult. While on the route I could see blue jays flying back and forth across the canyon below. View from the top was fantastic, late in the day gave great lighting.

The climb was tough and the bolts bad. My 2nd probalby couldn't have cleaned so I would have had to clean off poor gear. I downclimbed and cleaned. Not pretty or fun. Wouldn't do this climb again.

Ascent Note
Last climb of the day and I was tired. I had trouble getting a place to stand and clip the fixed pin. Maybe I should have shipped it and placed more gear. The flake/foothold that was used to place the pin may be missing now.
After that, I had to hang and rest before I could finish the climb. The bolts were good and I would try it again when I am fresher.

Ascent Note
Fun route with lots of variations. Base is in the shade most of the day and it isn't too busy when the rest of the rock is. Staying right of the cave adds a degree of difficulty. Depending on your TR point you could pick up some big swings so plan accordingly.
Cleared it first try but not without a few long reach moves. The holds are thin in many places but the feet are pretty good.

There are actually 2 Dugald's, this is Dugald's Right and was my first trad lead. The roof is very easy to clear and there are several easy rests. The climb was easy and fun to climb. Definitely worth the effort.

The creek at the bottom of the climb makes the 5.10 start difficult. Plus, if you fall you land in the water. The log approach takes you to a nice 5.8 friction climb.

Ascent Note
Climbed with a guide so I seconded. There were 2 good pitches and a bunch of easier stuff, probably 5.7/5.8. The final pitch is a lot of fun with a nice sequence and a cool layback. Personally thought that the easy stuff was too easy but the views were fantastic. The scramble down from the rappel is steep, rocky, and no fun at all. It was a good first multi-pitch climb but probably wouldn't do it again.
