This one of the easiest five eights I have climbed. It was a lot of fun and could traverse over to Ace for a little diversity. Nothing too crazy about this route, just a lot of fun.

Two Cracks Aren't Always Better Than One
There are some new sport bolt anchors at the top of this one. It was a climb that threw me for a loop. It looks a lot easier than it is. The crux is on a couple moves in and the rest is smooth sailing, but that crux gave me more than a few problems. Everything I have seen rates it at a 5.8, but I think it felt more like a five nine. Especially since the 5.8+ next to it was a breeze.

good bouldering, but greasy as all hell
tiny grabs that have been worked way too much by chalk lovers. interesting variation on flakey old man.

interesting crack work
Fatty crack at the bottom and a sliver at the top, then an awkward corner. Nice climb

dusty bottoms
The bottom 20' is all dusty and that made for some interesting footholds. Once you hit the dihedral, your home free.

First time to Rocky Butte
Nice first time out climbing in Portland. It was a little greasy, but the anchors were nice and new.
