Great place for a little TR Ice

Great place for a little TR ice. Depending on conditions, you can even do some mixed climbing and try some bouldery WI5-6 moves. mOst of it comes in at short NEI3, NEI4 is stretching it.

Beautiful during the winter

We climbed half way up the ridge pitching our tent at the base of the first rock fin of any significance. The following morning we woke at 4am and started our summit push. Topped out and returned back to the tent in time to break down camp and meet our ride at Bunny Flats at 4pm. Great climb during the winter.

Grew up climbing here.

Good rock, but it was a long time ago. I don't know if there are bolts for anchors at the top now, but we used to have to use the trees and long webbing. A great place for locals to climb, but not someplace I'd travel to for the climbing.

I did this several years ago but am now recording it.

Was in Yosemite alone and met up with a couple of international climbers in Camp 4. Rolff from Germany, Jason from Britain, Elsa from Poland, and myself (from the US). We got an early start around 6am, and climbed the mountain ina couple of hours. Rolff and Jason climbed as a rope team swinging leads, while Elsa and I climbed together, but Elsa doesn't lead trad, so I got the sharp end the whole time... I was lucky. When we got off, I headed out for Reno to catch my flight back to DC. What a way to end a trip. This was a perfect climb, on perfect granite, with perfect company. I can't wait to get back and repeat it.
