Finally got this one
I crushed this nemesis of mine on this wall. Fear and technique has held me back on this route for years. But I finally crushed it on Saturday. It was so easy to me, I was high stepping to hand holds and just ignoring the fear.

Simple warmup
Rope drag can be bad. Extend the top rope to limit the rope drag at the top. The key to success is using your left foot on the section of rough behind on the left, then a right foot jam. Baby step it through that section and then you will be able to just pull out of the crux and cruise to the top.

You earn this one
The start hides its secrets well. Took me many tries to learn the sequence to start. Eventually got it with a foot jam, and a launching pull from the little ledge. Desperately pulled on a small flake and muscled my way to a standing position. Then my foot was stuck from the jam, once freed, the rest went good.

Fun Route
Climbed the V0- version just because it felt better. Climbed it like 5 times. Great top out crux. Another that was with us, fell twice at the crux from this route. Scary catch at the bottom. I didn't find this climb tough. The top is just what you hope for when you reach the end of a flake, a nice secure hold.

Nice and pumpy
For a beginner labelled climb, this was strenuous. Made it clean, but still surprised for the grade. Definitely an old school Oklahoma grade.
