Though this route is rated 12A in this section, I have been always been under the notion that is was .11c. (??)

Great route. Not as bad as expected. A short stick clip makes things go a little faster. Otherwise, lots of free climbing between spaced bolts and gear.

Of all the towers I have done this one is just plain fun. It just keeps me comming back again and again. Bring 10 draws and single cams from .5 in - 3 in.

A slightly serious first 30 feet lead to a sweet chimney. I found that the last two pitches seemed slow. Pitch one and two can be linked with a 60M rope.

We aided a lot on this one so I believe our ascent was called the north face. The section just before the bolt ladder was some to the hardest aid I have ever done.

Awsome exposure, great climbing and easy hauling up high...well...pitches 4-9. The last pitch requires some trickery. All in all a great route.

Great climb to take people on for first multi-pitch. Standard Rack and some runners make for a great climb. Perfect intro to Esat A.

One day during a regular visit some friends and I were climbing Byrds for the thousanth time when we looked up and there it was. A beautiful line out a roof eight or so feet above.
Freebase is a great line with beautiful jams that turn to fists and end wider. While the Crack itself is great, getting to it is not so easy. I ended up bushwack climbing with margenal gear to reach it. All in all, it was an experience. Bring gear through #4 Camalot.

Good and fun Byrds is a great moderate with a tricky start or a not so tricky but more powerful direct start option.
