led the first chimney, led the 5.7 hand crack later, left home at 12:30 am, got to Yosemite 5:00 am, started climbing 5:30 am, got back home 10 pm.

swapped leads, luckily partner got the crux--I avoided the offwidth seconding by powering up the 10b face instead. I did lead the lieback on the first pitch--bit of excitement, bring a BD #3 and 4. The third pitch is less hard (if you like exposure) and really fun.

for some reason people hate the first pitch. We did it with snow right up to the base (the crux of the day was getting out climbing shoes on and on the route without getting snow on them) it's not THAT polished...and I thought the last pitch was fun too.

I led a valley 9!
Um, granted it was only 50 ft and I sewed it up, but the point is it involved a thin finger crack and I led it onsight!
