TR'ed it from the tree approach, but was about to boulder it as it looked like the start was the most difficult sequence and you'd only lose some skin if you slid down. I'm a total beginner, so YMMV.

loved the exposure
The approach had me a little puckered. This was the first route of my second climbing trip. Loved the route. Had some people on the road below stop and taking photos of us and lots of hikers looking and pointing. Made me feel way too cool! :)

my very first climb
Too funny. This was my first roped climb ever of any type. Didn't know the name until after we'd finished it. It was a fun challenge and good confidence builder for a noob like me.

fun flake for new climber like me
I'm so new to climbing - this was my first flake route. Pretty fun route, but we mainly climbed it to get TR'ed for Texas Direct.

I think this is listed as a 5.8- in my buddy's Dome Driver Manual, but I guess this makes my first 5.9 route. Just started climbing a couple of weeks ago and this was my first outing with climbing shoes. Very fun and challenging for a beginner like me. Sorry, I'm a total noob with the review terms and grading, though.
