Darn... wish I had a good piece where the climbing was difficult. Might as well run it out, if you make it past the deck. The finish is rewarding 'city o rocks' elaphant ears all the way!!

Getting to and past the first bolt is NOT the crux. However, I did fall there numerous times. Due to the difficulty of getting to the first bolt, I did not pull the rope for a clean climb.

Breathtaking route. Many variations exist. We stayed on rock as much as possible, while some parties scrambled up gullies in haste to get to the top.
Simul-climbing is an essential skill, as one could easily spend all day on this route.

Beautiful.... The approach was a little difficult, due to rough water (canoe) and a little routefinding.
Drizzlepuss is an obstacle that cannot be ignored. On ascent, you scramble over and rappel. On descent, you have to climb over Drizzlepuss roped.

<b>SOMEBODY</b> Chopped the pitons just this last week. I climbed on Friday, and was weathered off. I returned tuesday to find the piton at the bottom, and the piton at the begining of the second pitch were chopped. <b>evil, rude, ignoramus</b>

Ascent Note
Finally, after two failed attempts, the thumb is in the bag.... the view is spectacular, and the descent is much smoother/safer around the opposite side of the thumb. Copy the route, and bring the map..... route-finding is not trivial on this climb.
