Super classic
Fun as hell, great exposure, classic route. The latest version of the guidebook says there is a 5.1 variation for the last pitch but all I saw was 5.5 friction with one old bolt or a thin 5.6 crack that didn't look terribly protectable. I traversed right on a ramp to join that last bit of Jensen's Jaunt - probably a bit harder but very protectable and fun climbing. Forget what the route description on this website says about cams - if you use them when you lead 5.3 trad, bring them for this route. They also didn't have climbing shoes, harnesses, dynamic ropes, nuts, or aluminun carabiners in 1936, but I went ahead and brought those too. Watch for rope drag on the second pitch.

Fun
Nice crack, very fun. A couple unprotected slab sections that are probably fourth class, may be scary for a new leader but not difficult.

fun and delicate
Really fun and delicate slab climbing. I top roped it and thought the pro looked sketchy for a lead. It's a thin seem mostly with very few placements in the hard section - I don't recommend leading it unless you are comfortable leading Josh 5.9

Crappy pro at bottom crux
Started to lead it and then backed off at first crux which is about 15 feet up or so. There was only a flaring tcu placement to protect it and if it failed, you definitely hit a big ledge. And it's a flaring sort of off width type thing, with no hand holds for one move or so. Not too hard, just didn't want to lead it without good pro. Top roped instead. Really fun and varied route. Top part has a steep section with big holds that's really fun.
