5 out of 5 stars Second Bivvy in the Sierra

We summitted at sunset, and gave up descending at around midnight once we reached the Glacier Notch. We took the harder crack variation that deviates to the left.

5 out of 5 stars Toughest mixed lead to date

Mostly because my hands kept freezing and the rock was covered in snow so it was climbed in boots. Our ropes weren't long enough to finish the pitches, which required some finageling, but luckily we were able to take the Le Conte Route back down.

And the summit block had lots of large cracks to play in

5 out of 5 stars First three-person trad climb

And the route had the most exposed crack climbing I have done to date. Very fun and very scenic

3 out of 5 stars Didn't know what I was getting into

The start is very hard and very awkward, but the rest is smooth sailing on thin friction and dishes

3 out of 5 stars Strange rock, long toprope

It just keeps going! Oddly, this route was easier than the lower-rated Shuffelboard that meets up with it.

3 out of 5 stars Longer runout than expected

After surmounting the roof, I had to climb up and friction traverse a ways before I could put in my next piece. Still fun though - just don't fall!

3 out of 5 stars One of my first trad leads

Fun route, although more run out than I had expected!
