Ascent Note
Fun climb, a great introduction to climbing in the Red and how it's grade scale compares to other places - pretty dead on in my book.

Ascent Note
Ken traversed over and set up a TR from Trouble Clef's anchors; in the interest of time - the crowds were beginning to arrive. Fun climbing on thin edges with a few balancy moves thrown in for good measure.

Ascent Note
A fatastic climb on great pockets - just a few degrees past vertical. Unfortunately I ran out of gas going to the anchors (5th and final climb of the day) - will have to finish 'er out next time down. Jon had to follow and clip the anchors in a great show of stamina.

Ascent Note
Followed Jon's lead. This route looks much easier than it feels; it was very awkward for me and I felt off-balance on most of the lower section before straightening up and going for the anchors.

Ascent Note
Exceptional climb on thin incuts, it's all there. Felt a little easy for the grade.

Ascent Note
PUMPY!!! Starts out great on thin incuts, then becomes a few degrees on the wrong side of verticle and thins out even more.
Hell of a climb!

Excellent climb! Lots of laybacks and tricky body positions. LOVE IT! Gets even better the more times you climb it.

Ascent Note

Hell of an epic. Took us 21 hours from tent-to-tent and included alot of off-route and a completely wrong descent route.
Started w/ the direct start (5.6) to make things interesting and immediately found ourselves pulling a 5.10 overhanging crack left of where we should have been. Stayed roped up for most of the scrambling to further eat up our time. Did the 5.9 variant by mistake, thought we were on route and it was just stiff because of the altitude, finally reaching the summit at 5:30p.m., luckily the storms never broke.
Then the fun REALLY began and we found ourselves descending the hairy downclimb in the dark with dying headlamps at 35 degrees with a 60mph wind - brrr. If... "That which does not kill you, makes you stronger", consider us much stronger for the experience.
