tyro rumpus
one of my favorite routes to date. it was freaky and long and i didn't have any tcu's and had to use nuts in places that might or might not hold and the only bolt was chopped. what a great route. what a trip. the rock was surprisingly good, just tricky pro and stout slab moves with gear-ripping fall potential. take lots of small stuff for the middle section

We did this in two pitches with three people. it was fun. jenny hid inside the big hueco at the 1st belay. a fun route with a few hard spot, but good gear to protect.

This was harder than i expected. i guess i didn't understand what a "chimney route" really was. It was fun after i got the hang of things. probably should have broken it into two pitches because the drag sucked. found some neat gear placement, using tricams and a bomber hex placement. pretty fun route all in all.

Man, this sucker felt hard. Gear was strange at the bottom and ate it up higher, but it was akward gettting stances. Fun times, good jams.

I did the El Tesoro variation start. It was fun. Start on El T, traverse left to bolt and anchor, skip building anchor and use belay anchors as bolts. The crack was sweet.

Crack ate up gear. Pulling over the buldge was freaky, the slab up was nice.

Get a spot and go for it, but there is no bailing off this one. Sharp edges and high steps. I took it up to the big bucket hole at the begining of the water streak, then down climbed to the ledge and walked off.

Ascent Note
Had trouble with rope drag on this one. Placed a directional #1 Cam at the top of the boulder, before placing a #2 in the roof. This was well and good, except it pulled the rope something fierce through the sharp chockstones around the corner. Probably should have skipped the directional and double-loaded the roof crack instead. it all worked out with the only drawback being poor gear choice at the start resulting in some nasty rope drag at the top. The overhead jams were a blast!
