I really had a great time on this route and was glad to have a shot at it. I had no clue what it was rated until after the climb was over. I got over the crux but had to rest shortly there after as i pumped out from straining too hard. The rest of the climb was a cinch. I really enjoyed it for the height and I totally fell in love with crack climbing from working this route. The crux is directly across from the beginning of the overhang roof on another route. Before climbing at Bellefonte i only climbed 5.8s and 5.9s but there is something about crack climbing that comes more natural to me and so i was running up 5.10s that day.

I absolutely loved this route. I was done for the day and i decided to give on last go. I jumped on and pumped out a couple feet from the top. I had a long day of climbing cracks rated two clicks above what i normally climb. i know going back i could get it clean for sure. That day i fell in love with crack climbing. i would travel back to Bellefonte in a heartbeat but will probably hold off until the access issues are cleared up. I don't really know where the crux of this climb was located as i only stopped because i was tired from the rest of the day. I recommend this climb for any first timer to Bellefonte.

This was my first time to Haycock. I loved the diversity of the climbs. I ended up trying out some really difficult routes and when i got on something easier it definitely helped my mentality. I got this route on the second try....its a balancing act...great little route.

This was my first visit to Haycock...and this was the last route i climbed. it took me a couple tries to get the dyno off the start but after that it was weight shifting and trusting your feet. In order to get the last jug i put my foot on nothing and had to trust it...got my left foot up and i was golden. i would definitely do this problem again next time as the first move just feels great when you stick it.

It was a little bit more challenging that expected with a 5.7 rating. It can be a little tricky but can be done in one try for less experienced climbers.

I am no longer a virgin to lead climbing. I had an awesome teacher named Ben that talked me through the whole route. It is an awesome route to learn lead on. The clips are in great positions so there are no worries when clipping in....makes it nice if you clip wrong and have to fix it. I recommend this route to anyone who would like to make the next step to leading and it definitely helps to have a very motivating teacher.

I found this route to be easier than the new first route in the first area which is also labled a 5.7. i thought it was an awesome route just for the fact that you have to pay much more attention to your feet than your hands. It is good experience for anyone trying to work on their footwork. It is also even better if you downclimb the route as well to bring even more focus to your feet.

Not a clean ascent. I got stuck to the left trying to go up the crack and was forced to move right and straight up.

It was a challenging route that pumped me out once trying to get over the arete. It seemed to go back and forth and looks a lot easier than it was. Never got up clean.

Got it clean the second try after i was more relaxed. Had to muscled my way through one mantle to get to better holds up top. Very good climb for my skill level.
