Moby

Led all the 5.8 pitches after my fellow climber opted out of the Finger of Fate pitch, which made that pitch the mental crux for me. Once I belly flopped onto the Finger, we were golden. There are some very tricky moves on this climb, to be sure.

Bloody busy

Nary a quiet day in this neck of the woods. Aside from the fact that there were 3 parties overlapping ropes during the ascent, this was a great lead with a nice tricky crux.

A Stunning Line Indeed!

We had good weather the whole way, let a soloist and a faster party pass, and then opted NOT to descend the BugSnow Col based on its condition, which led to much fun and games during the circumnavigation of Snowpatch Spire. 18 hours roundtrip from Applebee, on only 1500 calories each!

First lead of the year!

Had to hang just below the first crux at the roof/hand jam move. Stuck in a big blue easy (#3 camalot) just below the second cruxy move. When it's 40 degrees out and it's 'warm', you know you're desperate to climb!

One Tough Five Eight

Pretty much hung my way all the way up, took a very nice (12 ft?) whipper off the mantle exit the first attempt, but stuck it on second try. Gotta love that Gold Camalot. Nik led the Exit up the Green Corner in the twilight.
