So I am concentraiting on pull exercises right now at home. I have a training board built and doing this exercises wih ice tools (for ice/drytool training).

For the most part I'm doing assisted pullups (feet on the wall, reps of 7 to 12 depending on how I'm pulling), but in the past I have stopped trying to do things like pullups when my elbows have started getting achey.

I'm just starting this new pull training but want to avoid elbow issues if possible. I am currently working my triceps doing this: http://www.bodybuilding.com/...rm-triceps-extension and this: http://www.bodybuilding.com/...ep-dumbbell-kickback.

Are there some other exercises that people would recomend for me to avoid elbow pain?

Google "Dodgy Elbows". You'll get this article:

Direct link to the pdf:

A few weeks of that exercise program made my elbows feel much better.

Biggest thing for me has always been a good warmup for the arms. I do lots of bicep curls with my hands in a fist. Then a few more with a rock or small weight.

thanks for the articles. I'll see about incorperating some stuff to prevent golfers and tennis elbow, but I don't think that was the issue I was having. The pain wasn't on either side of my elbow, but rather in the back, just above the elbow.

Regardless, this thread is about keeping my elbow healthy and doing prevention exercises for something I haven't developed, but is an issue for many, seems like a good idea. Thanks!

Let the warm up include doing a set of light (heavily assisted) pullups, and rings are good (better than a bar) as they let your wrists change direction to the forces.
