Little chalk comes out and not fine

I bought this because it was refilable and cheap. I thought chalk is chalk right? Not really. This ball sucks the chalk that the ball comes with is in clumps and barely comes out. I don't know if I cannot get enough chalk out or the drying agent stinks but I am always grabbing the ball every 2 min.

Great for indoors and days when you just don't need to slather your hands in chalk. It starts out as a solid lump--which combined with Metolius' clumpy chalk can be frustrating to work with. My advice is just dump half the chalk out so you have a soft little hackey sack of chalk. Refill as needed. Also works well when loose inside chalk bag--it's much easier to grab something than to just sift through loose chalk.

Not sure what metolious chalk actually felt like, I go thru the stuff to quickly, but the fact that it's a refillable sock is awesome. I'm what some might consider a chalk whore and I were buying $4 throw away chalk socks I'd either have to choose between dinner or the gym (I guess I could always eat some other time right?) That being said I really prefer the cinch cord chalk sock.

Why not just use a real sock...? I use worn out cotton socks. I cut them up the right size, fill them up tie off the cut end and voila!

The sock is the only good thing !!!! I was using EMS chalk before I switched to this, This chalk makes my hands so greasy that I should have just used crisco or some other type of cooking oil. I emptied the sock out and filled it with Bison, MUCH BETTER ! What ever Metolious uses as their Special Drying Agent is terrible.
