Heavy when compared to other tents of its size, but this bad boy has stood the test of time and is still a favorite among mountaineers around the world. Bombproof pitch and set up with a pre-equlaized guy system for more effective guying. Do your research, but not a bad choice. I like mine, especially now that they changed the door.

This is one of the best mountain tents in the world! It’s highly wind resistant and can be put up quickly. There’s room enough for two people, but not for a lot of equipment. You can cook at the entrance, even when it’s raining. The only draw back is the weight. But if you need a totally rain, snow and wind proof shelter this is as light as it gets (otherwise you’d be bivying). All in all a very good tent for everything from hiking to high altitude mountaineering.
