I have owned these boots for about a month now and absolutely love them. I have done three winter hikes with them in the white mountains (some of the coldest and harshest conditions ever recorded) and they kept my feet very warm and dry even at -15 windchill. The only thing I do not like about them is they are not c2 compatible. Supposedly they are C1 boots but I have yet to try them out with crampons.

All in all an excellent boot. They feel bombproof and the rocker is supportive yet allows for a good amount of sensitivity when clamboring on rock. I think these boots would be best for backpacking with heavy loads in colder conditions. They are also great for snowshoeing. I am excited to see how they hold up through a whole year with me.

The only complaint, and this is common with Scarpas, is that they seem a little small around the ball and toes of my feet. Apparently, italian made boots such as Scarpas are traditionally narrower. If I could do it over, I would get them a .5 size larger to accomodate a second pair of socks and not squish my toes.

Scarpa has a great reputation so you know you can't go wrong.
