Climbing the Paternkofel
Guidebook says: Nice classic, fun, well travelled ...
Qwert says: 5 rusty pitons on six pitches, loose, rotten stone and gravel everywhere, easy to get off route, but extremely funny with a bunch of drunks and nice view at the Drei Zinnen.
But the most remarkable thing is that the top of the mountain was stuffed with guns and barbed wire, so that one could shoot at the enemys on the next mountain during world war one. They even did dig a tunnel (wich is now part of a vie ferrate) to get to the summit without getting shot.
War is sick.
