This picture (actually 5 pictures, digitally stitched together) was taken from the highway near Twin Lakes. It was taken with a Canon PowerShot A40. Unfortuately, I didn't pay enough attention to the exposure and it was a bit washed out. Oh well. Still very nice. :)

The view from the Toboggan Ledge is truly spectacular. Sitting upon my boulder, I couldn't help but take a picture to capture the sight before us, on such a gorgeous day.

The route goes up the left skyline, and in front of the shiprock and through the second notch to the crux.
The crux consists of 150 feet scrambling up good sized sandy ledges over ~1200' of exposure.
Even a few steps off route will have you making 5th class moves, and the crumbly rock probably won't hold a fall. Look carefully for the cairns, many are in unexpected places.

This is a pic I took of my dog at Pixie's corner. You can see the silouette of my friend Michael climbing right beside her.

Here's a pic of the actual pictographs that you'd see. This one is about mid way, so like I've said before, don't climb on them! Just keep on a walking and go around the corner.

Yes, it's Hard Man, a character from the Canadian Alpine Journal in the late 70's and early 80's.
Evidently there is some sort of a time warp happening, because clearly and unequivocally, Hard Man has been modelled after our very own rrrMadame!
Please click here to see the resemblance! To get the full effect, I suggest you right click on the "resemblance" link above, and open it in a separate window so you can see and compare both photos side by side.
You have to agree, it's uncanny!
Note that "Bald Enigma" is an anagram of Adam Bingel - thanks to the brilliant Juliana for that one!

Not much to say here, other than a pretty photo. Alpenglow on some representative Courtright domes. I believe the two in front are Penstemon Dome and Punk Rock, while the big one in the back is Dusy Dome. Photo was taken from our campsite (free and awesome) just off the Maxson Road.
Photo taken by Morgan Brown
Full-sized version is here.

Looking up at the objective from the bathing pool. Continue from here another 5 minutes downhill until the path appears to your right going into the forest. You can take a bath on the way out.
