Here's the view from this killer area just outside Capitol Reef--find it on the map, you'll be glad you did.
The slabby wall at the top of the talus has 4 or 5 nice moderate crack climbs with anchors on top. My friends and I put up these routes in 1996.

This pic is of the 3 sisters in the blue mtns. You used to be able to climb them, but they banned it because it is a sacred Aboriginal site.

Took this one while bushwalking in the blue Mountains. The walk was graded hard so there wasnt many tourists on it which was nice.

The veiw is spectacular as you look down several hundred feet to the Delaware river. The highways on either side were a noise issue though.

You will find this boulder on the approach to the Grand Wall in Squamish. It must have taken a lot of time and effort to create this and stands as part of Squamish early history.

This is a view looking west from the Seward Highway across Turnagain Arm (south of Anchorage). You can not tell very well in this picture, but the alpenglow and sunbeam shining on the peaks of the Kenai Peninsula (left side of the Arm) was spectacular.

Just to the left of Becky's Crack--climb the thin crack section, then instead of traversing, follow the thin slab straight up.

I ran into this Marmot on the summit of Mt Shavano, a 14er in the Sawatch Range in Colorado. Shavano is an easy walkup, and has a wonderful snow route up the Angel of Shavano snowfield.
