Top roped it a few times after initially sport-climbing it. Plenty of pockets gives you lots of opportunities to climb it differently each time.

A difficult section in the center of the climb may knock me out of contention for the fa.

On the layback of the Layback route at Donation Rocks. Not much to push feet against so laybacking any further won't help...your feet will slip off the wall.

Reach up and feel your way. There are some big jugs. Heel hook or very high step to get atop the overhanging section.

The bottom section offers many possibilities (e.g., orange or blue dashed lines). The layback starts just above where the blue and orange lines come together.

You can see the large rock shaped like Africa just to the left of the rope coming down to the climber (me). The rope in the photo is covering the large crack that you follow straight to the top. This large crack separates the two routes of "Africa" (on the left) and "East Africa" (on the right of the crack).

This is the Spire with the missing wedge at the top of the Lost Mine Trail in Big Bend. Dutch Boy, Dutch Girl, and Dutch Bag all are on this while the 5.11 crack is on the backside of the ridge seen in the left of the picture. In the foreground is "A Climbers Guide to Big Bend National Park" which can be obtained at any visitors center in the park, and contains info on these climbs and more.
