Closed down due to Johannesburg climbers coming in and disrespecting the aged residents and all climbing etiquette, as well as littering.
Serenitas is an old age home near the Bloemfontein city centre. Before the old age home was developed, the area was a sand and stone quarry. A stunning crag with quite a few exciting bolted routes now rise up from the old age home's "back garden".
With green lawn right up to the rock it is a great place for climbers to get together for climbing, bouldering, chatting, or just lying around (this one is for Deon).
The bouldering here is endless and the route grades range from 16 upward.
The rock is crumbly in some places and some routes have therefore been abandoned. A few routes still hold a good challenge and Serenitas will still be climbed for many years to come.

Directions: Enter the gates and sign in.
Drive straight up the driveway and go right at the first split in the road.
Follow the driveway up the steep incline and follow the driveway till you get to a T-junction.
Turn right and left again and park so that cars can still freely pass through.
