About Waterval Boven:
One of South Africas most treasured climbing areas. Like the idea of long, well protected sport climbs right next to a rumbling waterfall? Includes climbs for all skill levels and every type of enthusiast. Good option to start a road trip here, also close to game parks! Located in an expansive valley, Boven stretches for about 6 miles - routes are still being bolted every day. There are opportunity for hundreds more routes. Many famous climbs like Jabberwocky (33-SA ratings), Snapdragon (28) and Too early for the Sky (Climb based 100m above a cliff - 17) offer continual challenges amidst some beautiful South African scenery. |
