About Olympic Garden Sports City:
| An indoor climbing wall, housed in a badminton court. The wall is roughly 12m high. They have harnesses for hire (it seems that they only have 2 available), but no shoes. When we were there, it only had 2 top-ropes installed, each spread across 2 top points, so that alternating which side of the rope was climber/belay would give a different route to climb. The wall and holds were really dirty with rubber from non-climbing footwear and there were quite a few loose holds. I recommend taking along an 8mm allen key! Their pricing system was also a little odd. They have a fairly expensive (by China standards) hourly rate (120RMB), or you can pay by the climb (100RMB for 10 climbs) and believe it, they do sit there and count. |
