About Karakul Lake:
| Bouldering with an amazing back drop on wicked granite boulders. This are has seen only a few climbers but is worth the trip for climbing. The road up to Karakul is littered with Granite. About three hours from Kashgar, just past the check point is an amazing Granite canyon that has probably never been climbed on. Karkul Lake's shores are dotted with fine grained, quartz infused Granite boulders. |

| Directions: | You can take a bus to Karkul Lake but it might be worth hiring a Taxi, espicailly if you have some trad gear and want to send some FA's. At Karakul; you can find boulders easily but it might be worth hiring a moterbike, horse or camel and heading a few k's back towards Kashgar where more boulders await a send. |
