About White Chimney:
Short but wide wedge-shaped crag. The rock is very smooth with a lot of friction required. The route has a very prominent chimney just to the left of centre, below two trees. Most of the protection is in-situ pitons, with only one or two bolts in places. Loose rock abounds at the top so a helmet is advised. |
Approach: | Difficult to find initially. After walking right past the temple, turn left into the trees before a concrete embankment on the right of the path. There is no discernible path for several meters, just keep to the main ridge line. When you find a small 1m boulder, you can find what appears to be a small sometimes dry creek going up and slightly to the right. Follow this up and keep going up the valley. |
