About Eastern Plateau:

The Eastern Plateau of Mt Kinabalu has been rarely visited due to access and long approach. water supply is another major issue. It consist of a few major peaks such as King Edward peak, King George peak, North peak, Phallus peak and more.
Approach: Most straigth forward way of approach is via the Bowen hiking trail. The Bowen's trail can reach by the normal hiking route up Mt Kinabalu, via the timpohon trail. It takes 6 - 7 hours on the timpohon trail to reach the junction where the Bowen trail start towards the Eastern Plateau of Mt Kinabalu.
