GBAO is a unique experience for climbers. High Altitude rock and ice climbing can be sought among the Pamir mountains and several 20k+ foot peaks (>6k meters). The population is uniquely made up of Ismoili Muslims and their culture is closer to the Basque in Spain than anything researchers have seen in central asia. As for the climbing, limitless. Hopefully we will get to that next trip.
