About The West Face:

From the Guide book published by Australian Climber in issue 4 March 1989. Still current as I have been there on and off for the last 30 years.
Approach: The West Face is probably the most frequently climbed area at Mt Keira. It has a maximum height of 20m with approx. 95 climbs. To get to the West Face head right when you enter the lookout area and park near the fire trial gate. Walk down the track towards Queen Vitoria lookout and kick right along the track. Keep left as a few tracks head off across the tops of the climbs, until you head down through a small outcrop of rocks. follow the track right and you'll see the first of the smaller climbs.
Approach Time: 5 minutes
Latitude, Longitude: -34.40326, 150.85454
Access Issues: no real problems. Some of the climbs still have the name painted on the start point. Eg. DSOTT = Dark Side Of The Turkey
Rock Type: SandStone
Type of Climbing: Sport/Trad
Sun Aspect: Afternoon Sun
