About Ben Lomond:
| World class dolerite crack climbing in a beautiful alpine environment. This is easily one of Tasmania's best climbing areas - but is rarely visited becasue of its bad weather and out of fashion routes. If the idea of jamming up 200m of splitter cracks excites then this is the place for you. Climbing in winter is impossible - unless you like poxy ice routes. |

| Directions: | Located 50km west of Launceston. Just after the entrance booth take a right turn towards Car Villa and park at the Scout Hut. Good free camping can be found here with running water and toilets. |
