This is where a lot of us started our climbing. A great place to take beginers because (i) there's loads of 10's and 11's, (ii) access is easy, and (iii) the descent is easy. There's two harder routes here, although they rarely get done, a 25 straight out of the cave and a 22 on the side of it. This is named because allegedly there is gold hidden deep in the cave. I went in as far as my fat body would allow and all I found was bat poo !! See for yourselves. The main wall with the big cave (Captain Melville's Cave) is what faces you as soon as you enter from the car park. |
